To enhance accessibility and safety by modifying living spaces, recommending adaptive equipment, and collaborating with contractors to create long-term solutions for aging individuals
To empower individuals to maintain their independence, stay connected to their homes, and proactively address the changing needs that come with aging through innovative home modifications
I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Over the past 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to the rehabilitation industry, working in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to support patients recovering from illness, trauma, or surgery. Currently, I work in an acute inpatient hospital setting and have earned an Executive Certification in Home Modifications from USC.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face as they experience changes in their functional abilities. For many, long-time homes that were once perfect become increasingly difficult to navigate due to structural barriers. Meanwhile, the rising costs of assisted living and nursing facilities leave many with limited options, forcing them to consider selling their family homes.
That’s where I come in. As a Home Modification and Safety Specialist, I provide solutions that allow individuals to remain in their homes safely and comfortably. Whether it's adapting living spaces for those with progressive medical conditions or addressing immediate mobility concerns, I specialize in modifying existing spaces to enhance accessibility and safety. I offer recommendations for adaptive equipment and durable medical devices, ensuring a more functional and long-term design.
Additionally, for those planning ahead or building their dream home, I can design modifications that cater to their unique needs. I can collaborate with contractors to create spaces in existing or future homes that will meet these needs for years to come. My goal is to help people maintain their independence, preserve their connection to their homes, inside and out, to prepare for the unpredictable changes that come with aging.
